Thursday, January 10, 2008Boone County State Representatives Appointed to Ohio River Task Force
( Frankfort , KY ) - State Representative Addia Wuchner (R - Florence ) and State Representative Sal Santoro (R - Florence ) were appointed to the Ohio River Task Force. The Task Force was created by House Resolution 215 in the 2007 Regular Session.
"The issues that will be studied through this Task Force will benefit generations to come," said State Representative Santoro. "I am excited to serve on this Task Force and I look forward discussing the issues that affect our communities."
The Task Force will be studying the critical issues affecting cities and counties bordering the river.
"I am honored to serve on this Task Force," said State Representative Wuchner. "The River Task Force will allow us to represent our communities and examine in a collective manner an array of river issues from navigational and flooding concerns, economic development and commerce, and commodities transportation to water quality and recreation."
The Task Force is composed of all state representatives who represent districts that border the Ohio River . The first meeting was held January 10, 2008.
